The Pines Retirement Estate – Apartments and Health & Wellness Centre

Located mid-way between Adelaide city and the coast, The Pines Close Retirement Living provides independent living options for older retirees wanting to enjoy community-style living, while maintaining their own living spaces.
To provide enhanced lifestyle options for the clients, works were undertaken that included significant refurbishment of disused or underutilised buildings. Robb Partners was engaged directly by the client to provide quantity surveying services on various projects at The Pines retirement facility to facilitate these upgrades and other related works.
Phillip Kennedy Centre Refurbishment – Stage 5

The Phillip Kennedy Centre is a 170-room complex designed to provide residential care to older Australians who require supported living assistance.
In order to facilitate a significant refurbishment of this existing aged-care facility in Adelaide’s west, Robb Partners was engaged to provide full QS services, including cost planning, cost management and contract administration. This project was staged to allow continued use of the facility during the works, so as to minimise disruption to residents.
McCracken Views Extension

McCracken Views Residential Care contains 60 rooms for 24-hour individualised and respite care for residents. An extension to the activity and administration spaces was undertaken to support healthy aging. This incorporated an additional ground floor gym, additional office space, and an extension of the community room that required matching with the existing façade.
Robb Partners was engaged as the Contract Superintendent. In this role we were responsible for overseeing both the design team and builder who were contracted to facilitate the extension works. Director, Mason Robb, took a hands-on approach, chairing project control meetings, assessing project variations and time extensions to ensure they were in accordance with contract obligations, and liaised directly with the client throughout.
